THE NEXT GENERATION JAVA BASED IRC CLIENT
Requires IE / NN 4.x +

This JavaChat Resource centre is powered by  PREDATOR microsystems jIRC 32 - the next generation 32-bit Java based Internet Relay Chat client !!!

PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:

jIRC-32 supports the most frequintly used command availabe on standard mIRC clients such as:

  • /nick
  • /join
  • /leave
  • /whois
  • /ping
  • /me
Unfourtunately graphical private rooms are not yet supported.  You can, however, emulate this function with jIRC-32 by clicking on the person's nickname in the right-hand pane and then typing the message.  This action will automatically issue a /msg command.  This feature can also be used to successfully spam a message accross the entire channel or just a selected group of people - just select all the nicknames you want to spam a message to, and then type out the message.
If you want to issue the command manually -  use the syntax below:
/msg <nickname of the recepient> <message to be send>
once this stack is executed, you will privately communicate with another person.  Both your and his/her responses will be shown in a public window, but they will be for your eyes only, and all the other users on the channel will not see them.
The person whom you're chatting with (if he/she uses standard mIRC) will talk to you in a private window, and will not even realise that you're using a Java-based IRC client.
If you will learn the above mensioned /msg command, you will realise that jIRC-32 is truly 100% compatible with all IRC clients and servers.
